Tha ish: my totally fun Caribbean vacation

I got back from my Caribbean cruise this past Sunday and I feel like I can seriously hop back on board of that amazing ship (I sailed on the Royal Caribbean). We travelled to Labadee, Haiti, Ocho Rios, Jamaica, Grand Cayman and Cozumel, Mexico. We also had a chance to visit Cancun (BTW, it is very NICE!).

I had sooo much fun and thoroughly enjoyed myself. I met cool people, got hit on by “friendly” Jamaican men….basically life was good!

The reason for the cruise was to celebrate my mother’s birthday. She wanted to celebrate her monumental birthday big, so she wanted to go on a cruise.

I have never gone on a cruise before, and to be completely honest, I wasn’t that excited about it. I don’t really like being enclosed anywhere and I rather do my own thing on vacations. Knowing that I would be trapped on a boat for seven days was a bit daunting.

But being the good daughter that I am, I decided to take my mom on the cruise (actually, it was me, mom, and my sister that went on the cruise).

After experiencing this cruise, I have COMPLETELY changed my opinion of cruises. They are incredibly fun! I got my dance on on the ship’s deck at night, attended every dance/ comedy show, went skating (yes, I left the freezing Toronto weather to go skating on the ship!? heheh), and had some libations (the pina coladas were sick!). I can honestly say that this vacation exceeded my expectation.

Oh, I can’t forget the staff. They were fantastic (shout out to Albert, Rock, Rosefil, Baker, Kewin, Andre, Jason and everyone I came into contact with!). I have never been pampered like that in my whole entire life. They really take care of you. I loved every minute of it.

For anyone still not convinced that cruises are for them, take a look at this pic. Enjoy!

Tha ish: update

I’m going on a Caribbean cruise tomorrow and I was seriously hoping that I would see M.G. (a.k.a my crush) before I left. It’s virtually impossible as we don’t officially know each other.

I tried going to the places that I usually bumped into him (man, I sound like such a stalker!), but I was not successful…boo!

I’m not too upset that I didn't see him. I'm getting way tooooo excited about my trip. I can’t wait to sip pina coladas on the beach and soak in the beautiful Caribbean air. Don’t worry, I’ll document my trip in my next post.

See you in 9 days!

Tha ish: T. I. + Rihanna

I’ve been wanting to write about the song, “Live your Life” ever since I saw T.I. and Rihanna perform it at the MTV Video awards show about a month ago. It was the very first time that I heard the song, and I immediately fell in love with it.

The hook is definitely tha ish! It totally sells the song. Rihanna gives the track a shot of edge and griminess and undeniably creates the year’s best hook! Yes, I love me some Rihanna and she can do no wrong in my eyes, so it’s no surprise that I’ve become obsessed with the song.

I was finally able to track down the link to the official video. Check it out!

Tha ish: update

(this will be a short blog about my crush…yes, my crush! Don’t worry, I promise that I will blog about non-crush stuff soon!)

I saw M.G. today for only a split second. We spoke for a minute and I honestly wanted to blurt out, “You’re soooo hot. Take me now!” but instead I acted cold and aloof. I am certain that the boy thinks that I hate him.

I so don't know how to act around him. Why must I act like a silly inexperienced teenage girl? I need help!

Anyways, I hope that I see him tomorrow!

Tha ish: My new hobby

Okay, I haven’t seen my crush in over a week and I’m not impressed!! So I guess I should blog about something other than the finess that is M.G.

There is something that I am doing that it turning into quite an obsession (besides my obsession with you know who!). I’m addicted to…..making jewelry.

Yes, it’s not as sinister (or dirty for that matter) as what you were probably thinking. I took a jewelry class over a month ago and I’m hooked on making bracelets and necklaces. I should be working on articles or updating my blog, but as soon as I come home from work I sit in front of my beads and think of possible funky new creations.

Okay, I know that I sound like the world’s BIGGEST geek, but I don’t care. I’ve made tons of necklaces and even more bracelets. My bedroom is seriously starting to look like an accessories store. Oh well, at least it’s a harmless habit. A habit that I don’t plan on breaking any time soon.

I’ll post some pics of my creations soon!

Tha ish: me

No, I don’t really think that I’m tha ish (okay, perhaps today), but my luck was definitely working for me this afternoon!

After writing yesterday’s blog about my latest crush—M.G (please read the previous entry), I would have never guessed that I would bump into him today on the bus!

When I left work, I made a pit stop at the grocery store. After I finished shopping, I quickly hopped onto the bus. When I got onto the extremely crowded bus, I quickly scanned for a seat, or at least a place to stand. However, when I looked at the back of the bus, who should I lock eyes with? Yes, my crush M.G. I practically threw people out of my way to sit beside him.

I sat right next to him and we basically made small talk. I told him that we should really stop bumping into each other like this. He turned to me in said, in a very soft tone, “Maybe we are meant to be!” I’m not kidding! I giggled hysterically. I don’t know how that didn’t scare him, but he continued to ask me more about myself.
When I got to my stop, we said that we should talk more. Unfortunately, we didn’t exchange info, but I’m sure that we will meet again. Wish me luck!

Tha ish: Him

Man, I feel like a silly little school girl. I have the biggest crush on someone—lets call him M.G. (psst…names have been changed to protect the not-so- innocent!) and I honestly don’t know what to do. We don’t know each other, but just see each other around.

His face is flawless and his smile literally makes me melt. I’m completely blinded by his utter beauty! I’m so not the girl who is totally into looks, but damn, M.G. is pure sexy.

I honestly never get like this (read: acting like a boy crazy teenaged girl) but this guy got me. He’s probably one of the few guys that got me tongue tied. I think he caught me blushing when I saw him last. I played it off, but I’m sure he knows I’m diggin’ him.

I’m hoping that I see him tomorrow. Don’t worry, I have my outfit all planned out!
